Sunday Praise Report

A Life Courageous

I must say, it has been a very interesting and eventful week. Monday started out with us finding out that we lost the pregnancy that we had only found out a bout a week prior. This sparked my doctor into referring me to a specialist that I was able to meet with on Friday! This new doctor really knows his stuff and although I am super uncomfortable with having a male doctor he thinks he know exactly what the problem is and exactly what we need to do to fix it. The Naval hospital doctors had NO clue!

This new doctor of mine has decided I need to do injections. When I heard this I started crying. I knew that was the next step but prayed and prayed it wouldn't come to that. I am terrified of needles. I was that kid in the doctors office that you could hear screaming from outside the building. My first injection was Friday night and it didn't go so well but lasts nights was much better. Seeing as how I will be doing this everyday for at least the next two weeks I guess I will get much better. This might not sound like a praise worthy story but we are so thankful that we have a doctor that knows his stuff and I am so blessed to have a God that is always with me even when I am facing something I don't think I can handle. The truth is, I can't do it on my own. I am not strong enough but I don't need to be because he is strong enough for the both of us!

Friday was also an amazing day because I was lucky enough to attend a Navy Cross Ceremony for a Marine that was deployed with my husband in 2010. It was heartbreaking and scary to hear the citations but I am honored and proud to be able to attend. He truly deserved this award! Below are a few of the pictures I took while I was there!

This is the Marine who was awarded the Navy Cross

These are the Knights of Kajaki, India BTRY 3/12

The man in the suit is a former Marine and Secretary of the Navy

During the reading of what the Knights of Kajaki did the Marines were very emotional. The Marine who received the Navy Cross knees buckled and his fellow Marines rushed in to support him.

This is what Honor, Courage and Commitment looks like

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you will link up and share your Sunday Praise Report!
